About Bondi Beach
Bondi Junction is the closest train station to Bondi Beach on the Eastern Suburbs & IIlawarra line, so you will need to take a bus from there on #333 and it is a lot quicker than taking the bus from the city.
Bondi Beach is famous for being the closest beach to the Sydney City and has a beautiful sandy beach, great surf and a vibrant caf culture with large crowds of people from all over the world, here to experience our gorgeous southern hemisphere summer. The beach is well patrolled with concerned lifesavers keeping folk safe and between the flags.
The Bondi Pavillion is an icon on the beach, built in 1929 it has become a Community Cultural Centre with an art gallery, theatre, caf/ restaurant and now has a souvenir shop included.
There are 2 very popular walks south, along the seaside with many places to stop and enjoy the ocean views. Great cafs and restaurants await at your destination in either Bronte, Tamarama or eventually Coogee Beach.
Also there is a well known rock pool for swimmers at the southern end of the beach with a restaurant and bar above with great views of the beach, called Bondi Icebergs, famous for the brave who compete there in the winter months.
34 Degrees South is a well recommended Restaurant and joins a list of great restaurants on Campbell Parade. Just take your pick. We recommend to you our luscious 2 bedroom apartment, right across the road from the beach and considered one of the best in Bondi Beach Accommodation.
