Our apartments in Darlinghurst
Oxford St Darlinghurst is the location of the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and is home to many Art Galleries, Bookshops, good shopping and great food or just some people watching in the many great cafes. There are some really interesting shops as you head up Oxford Street, designers, artists and many eclectic things to see. Crossing over Taylor Square which is located at the top end of Oxford Street you are in striking distance of Paddington and Woollahra, both only a further 10-15 minutes walk.
Darlinhurst comes alive at night with many cocktail bars and live music. The Victoria Room a middle eastern wine bar restaurant is recommended and the well know Gelatio Messina for some sweets and they are both located on Victoria Street.
Darlinghurst Flea Markets are on Sundays from 2pm in Bourke Street if you like to shop and wander/ponder.
The Darlinghurst Gaol, is near by and was built around 1840. Evidence of our penal history. Tours are available. The Australian Museum and the Sydney Jewish Museum are there too so there is plenty to see and all are in walking distance from our Darlinghurst accommodation.
